March is recognized as National Women's History month. With this past Monday, March 8, being International Women's Day, I wanted to make a post highlighting some amazing women throughout time that made a difference in the world.
The first woman I want to recognize is Marie Curie. Marie Curie was an exceptional scientist and her discoveries helped uncover effective remedies for cancer. She was the second person ever to receive a Noble Prize. Next I would like to talk about Amelia Earhart. Amelia was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic and continued to break the flying records. Rosa Parks was a prominent woman in history after she refused to give up her seat and sparked the civil rights movement, which led to winning equal rights in the 1960's. The final person I want to give a shout out to is the current Vice President Kamala Harris. She is making waves in the political world as the first woman and first Asian American vice president. At Eleven22, we have a great team of wonderful women working hard to accomplish our goals and dreams. We are inspired by strong women of our past and look forward to all the good change they can do for our future.
